Mr CHEUNG is a dedicated anti-corruption professional with over 17 years of experience in corruption prevention and governance.  Since commencing his career at the ICAC in 2007 as a Corruption Prevention Officer, he has risen through the ranks to Chief Corruption Prevention Officer in 2012, Principal Corruption Prevention Officer in 2020, and Assistant Director in 2023.  In August 2024, he assumed his current role as Assistant Director of International Cooperation, where he focuses on fostering global collaboration in the fight against corruption.

Throughout his career, Mr CHEUNG has spearheaded corruption prevention initiatives across diverse sectors, such as civil service integrity, public procurement, funding schemes, construction, education, and non-governmental organisations.  His work has centered on strengthening institutional safeguards, fostering capacity-building, promoting ethical governance, and embedding transparency and accountability in both the public and private sector operations.  By identifying systemic risks, he has championed preventive measures and good practices, covering risk management audits, compliance training programs, system enhancement measures, etc.

Mr CHEUNG holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and a Master of Structural Engineering degree from the University of Hong Kong.
